The Boyle Town Team successfully transformed the Pleasure Grounds in Boyle, County Roscommon, by delivering a state-of-the-art Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). Officially opened in May 2025, this modern, all-weather facility replaced an outdated basketball court to provide a versatile space for sports, fitness, and youth recreation. Funded through community development grants and local collaboration, the project enhances the town’s outdoor amenities and sits adjacent to the popular calisthenics fitness park, fostering a vibrant, active, and inclusive environment for residents of all ages.

The Boyle Town Team, in partnership with Roscommon County Council, has revitalized The Lawn area into a vibrant, accessible green space in the heart of Boyle. Backed by nearly €200,000 in funding from the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS), this major upgrade transformed the once-overgrown site into a beautiful community amenity. The project features newly drained and surfaced walking trails, structural landscaping with fresh shrubbery and wildflower beds, age-friendly seating, and upgraded lighting. Complete with a welcoming new entrance sign, The Lawn now offers a safe, scenic, and peaceful retreat for residents and visitors alike.

The Boyle Experience Trail is an exciting tourism initiative proudly launched by the Boyle Town Team in collaboration with Roscommon County Council and Fáilte Ireland. Designed to showcase the town’s rich history and hidden gems, this immersive trail seamlessly connects Boyle’s unique stories, independent shops, and local cafés. Using a handy printed guide and an interactive digital map on Visit Roscommon, visitors can explore at their own pace, starting at Úna Bhán Tourism before uncovering landmark sites like King House, Boyle Abbey, and the scenic route toward Lough Key Forest & Activity Park. Championed by the Boyle Town Team to support local businesses and encourage longer visitor stays, the trail is the perfect invitation to experience the very best of our vibrant community.
